Commemorative Padlocks

	"DAN PATCH" - Brass Finish. 2 3/4" high x 2" wide. Iron body. Iron shackle. Brass plated. Barrel key. Some locks have "MADE IN U S A" stamped on the obverse of the case at 7 o'clock. Some locks have black painted background. Commemorates the fastest horse in the world at that time. Foaled on April 29, 1896, and died on July 11, 1916. Made for: Marion W. 	"Missouri Seal" - High Shackle. "Louisiana Purchase Exposition" was the title of the 1904 St. Louis Missouri World's Fair. From the "1904 St. Louis Missouri World's Fair". Steel shackle. Warded. Mfg by: Slaymaker. Made for: Simmons Hardware Co.
	"NORTH POLE" - "US" - Iron Body - Brass Shackle. Commemorates the Admiral Richard E. Byrd Antarctic expeditions. Born on October 25, 1888 and died on March 12, 1957. 3 3/4" high x 2 1/2" wide. Iron body. Brass shackle. 1 guard lever, and 2 locking levers. Flat Key. Mfg by: J. Walter Miller Lock Co.	833
	"OLYMPIC GAMES LOS ANGELES 1932 WIRZ MFG. CO. LOS ANGELES, CALIF.". Brass body. Brass shackle. The reverse of the case is plain.
	"PANAMA PACIFIC EXPOSITION 1915" - Design 2. Stamped Steel body. "Panama-Pacific International Exposition" was the title of the 1915 San Francisco, California World's Fair.

Story Padlocks

	Cherub also known as Cupid - 2 1/4". 2 1/4" wide. "USA" is not cast on the obverse of the case at 5 o'clock. The R&E Co. trademark is cast on the reverse of the case at 6 o'clock. Iron body. Iron shackle. Push Key. This lock was available in 2 finishes: Florentine Bronze, and Kahal Bronze. Mfg by: Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co. Henry E. Russell Jr. Design Patent # D11308 (same as the "Japanese Pattern").

	Ganesha - Design 2 - Push Key - 2 1/2". 3 3/8" high x 2 1/2" wide x 11/16" deep (Actual: 2 9/16" wide). Iron body. Iron shackle. Push key. The R&E Co. trademark is cast on the obverse of the case in the center. The obverse of the case has the Japanese Pattern type flowers. The case post placement is different than Design #1. 	Knight - "BHMA". 2 3/8" high x 2" wide x 1/2" deep. Iron. Warded. Curved recess shackle. This padlock is similar to the John Gerard "Eagle Liberty" in size and shape. The curved recess shackle is characteristic of other John Gerard designs. Some molds have very minor size and detail differences. "BHMA" and crossed pick and shovel are embossed on the reverse of the body. I believe this lock is related to the Black Hills Mining Association, Deadwood, South Dakota.
	Sunflower - Brass - Shield Obverse. 2 7/8" high x 2 1/4" wide. Brass. Barrel key. Trunk/Hasp lock. The obverse of the case has a shield type design cast on it. "PAT.APR.18.1882" stamped on the reverse of the case at 6 o'clock. Mfg by: Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co. Thomas Lyons Design Patent # D12891.
	Temple - Design 4 - Iron. 2 3/4" high from center x 1 3/4"  wide from center. Iron body. Iron shackle. Mfg by: Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co. The R&E Co. trademark is cast on the obverse and reverse of the body.  US Patent #98015.
	Vase - Warrior". 3 1/4" high x 1 11/16" wide x 15/16" deep. Iron body. Iron shackle. Warded. The R&E Co. trademark is cast on the obverse of the case at 12 o'clock. An indian is cast on the reverse of the body. Mfg by: Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co.

Story Padlocks - Japanese Pattern

Japanese Pattern - Obverse 3 - Reverse 8 - Iron - 2". 2 3/4" high x 2" wide. Iron body. Iron shackle. Barrel key. Black enamel background finish. The black enamel background finish does not appear in the R&E catalogs. The R&E Co. trademark is not cast on the obverse of the case above the keyway. There is a void on the reverse of the case at 6 o'clock where the production/date code normally is. Mfg by: Unknown.

Japanese Pattern - Obverse 3 - Reverse 6 - Bronze - 2". 2 3/4" high x 2" wide. Bronze body. Bronze shackle. Bronze Post key. The post key does not appear in the R&E catalogs. "PAT. JULY 29-79" is stamped on the reverse of the shackle. Mfg by: Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co. Henry E. Russell Jr. Design Patent # D11308.
