Story Padlocks - Japanese Pattern

There is a correlation between the obverse designs and the case diameter.

Interestingly the patent drawing for this lock does not match any of the known locks.

The R&E Co. trademark is not cast on the obverse of the case above the keyway. There is a keystone similar to that of the E. T. Fraim Lock Co. cast on the reverse of the case at 6 o'clock where the production/date code normally is. I have seen several examples of this lock. Mfg by: E. T. Fraim Lock Co. or Keystone Lock Works.
